Week of 10/2 Pre-emptions - General Hospital

Publish date: 2024-07-09

GH will be pre-empted next Tuesday, 10/3, Wednesday, 10/4 and Thursday 10/5 on the East Coast due to MLB playoffs. I have my DVR set to series and it is only taping tomorrow and Monday, 10/2. It usually tapes 6 days in advance so it shows 4 to 5 upcoming episodes instead of just the 2 that I see there now. Check your Scheduled List and you will see what I am talking about.

My DVR shows recording tomorrow, Monday and Friday next week.

It also looks like next Monday’s episode is the 20th of the season and next Friday’s episode is the 22nd of the season according to the info on each episode. What happened to episode 21 of the season? Hope they are not screwing us out of an episode after this pre-emption mess.

So every time zone gets preempted. Not sure what time California sees the show. They are 3 hours behind the east coast and what about Canada. I don’t care for baseball. It is the most boring sport, it’s like watching grass grow. Besides who is home in the middle of the day during the week to even watch it. They should have it on at night since there is nothing but reruns due to the writer and actor strike!

Spoilers on this site say that Tuesday and Wednesday will not air due to baseball, but it has a GH episode airing on Thursday.

I agree. I cannot get in to baseball, it’s just people running around in a circle as far as I am concerned. And why have a big game on during the day in the middle of the week?
Say what you want about the NFL, but they got it right. Sunday games. Monday and Thursday night games. A shoot ton of advertising dollars in prime time spots, that is how it’s done.
And Go Dallas!!!

Lol. I actually live in New England, so I get it.
I did just score tickets to the Pats game on Nov. 5th. They’re playing the Commanders, so I’ll be rooting for them on that day.

I actually like Dallas and watch sometimes depending if I’m home and if the game is broadcast in this area. Patriots definitely have their work cut out for them this week. Hasn’t been the same since Brady left.

I agree. Living in Ct, my games are not always televised, but it will be this week for sure. They lost a step in their defense last weekend, so I sure hope they’ve worked it out in practice this week. We’ll see.

I’m in South Dakota, and I’m only set up to record Monday and Friday.

I am in Los Angeles; my dvr has only Monday and Friday of next week scheduled.

ha ha…i’m sure yu are kidding, thinking the baseball games, with the 100,000’s spectators in the stands, should only be on at night, so that some people can watch daytime tv…funny!.

what about Canada

I’m in central Canada. Central Daylight Time. The show airs at 1:00 p.m. here.

The Shaw television guide shows that it’s preempted on Tuesday Wednesday and I think Thursday.

CBSSports says there will be games Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday on ABC. The whole schedule is listed on that website.

the show will never show new shows in Canada if all of America is being prevented.

Is there a possibility that the games that air on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday afternoon will be played between the same 2 teams and it will be a best of 2 out 3 series. Therefore, if the team that wins on Tuesday wins again on Wednesday, it will not be necessary to play a game on Thursday and GH will then air on Thursday? Baseball fans please help me with this.

You may be on to something. The spoilers on this site only listed preemptions for Tuesday and Wednesday, but everyone on this site (obviously not everyone, but ya know what I mean), was saying that the DVRs were only showing Monday and Friday recording, so Thursday was preempted as well. Your reasoning explains perfectly why there may be two different options.

If that is the case I will be rooting for the team that wins on Tuesday to win again on Wednesday because I really want to see GH on Thursday. 2 days of a pre-emption is enough. All GH fans should do that unless your team is in the playoffs this week.
