Altoona man accused of repeated sexual assault of young girl at farm, camp
Blair Co., PA (WJAC) — State police in Hollidaysburg say a 74-year-old Altoona man is behind bars following an investigation into accusations that he repeatedly sexually assaulted a young girl for nearly three years.
Troopers say they began investigating Jerry Fultz in April of 2021 after the victim, who was 14 at the time, reportedly told a family friend that he would often take her "into the woods" at her family's farm, and at his camp, and would sexually assault her.
According to the affidavit, investigators say the victim described four separate incidents that occurred either at the farm, located in Catherine Township, or the camp, located in Woodbury Township.
Troopers say the victim explained that "some form of sexual assault" would occur every time she was with Fultz.
Authorities say the victim reportedly spent almost every Saturday with Fultz, beginning when she was 10-years-old, from Sept. of 2018 to April of 2021.
According to online court records, Fultz was arraigned Tuesday on charges of aggravated indecent assault, involuntary deviate sexual intercourse with a child, indecent assault, unlawful contact with a minor and corruption of minors.
He is being held at the Blair County Prison on $100,000 bail.
