Tractor-trailer fire shuts down portion of I-80 in Centre County

MARION TOWNSHIP, Pa. - Emergency crews have blocked off a section of I-80 in Centre County after a crash and tractor trailer fire Friday.

According to officials, the crash happened near mile marker 160 in the eastbound lane just before 10:30 a.m. on I-80.

According to police, a tractor trailer was had its hazard lights on attempting to exit the interstate when a second tractor trailer clipped the rear left tire of the exiting vehicle.

The second tractor trailer struck the concrete barrier and burst into flames and was completely engulfed.

No one was injured in the wreck.

That section of I-80 is closed as crews work the scene.
