A Claysburg man accused of raping a young girl in her sleep, and filming said act, has been convicted in Blair County court following a weeklong trial-by-judge.

Online court records show that Richard Sensibaugh, now age 37, was found guilty on most of the charges he faced, which include rape of a child, aggravated indecent assault, photographing/filming sex acts and child pornography.

Sensibaugh was arrested in April of 2021 following a state police investigation into an alleged rape of a 5-year-old girl.

Police say the victim's mother reportedly discovered a video on Sensibaugh's phone that showed him sexually assaulting the child while she slept.

Judge Jackie Bernard, who presided over the case, did acquit Sensibaugh of multiple counts of unlawful contact with a minor.

Court records show that Sensibaugh must also undergo a sex offender assessment to determine if he is a sexually violent predator.

A sentencing date has not yet been scheduled.
